Ukraine's 2011-12 total supply of grains records over 63 million tonnes
Ukraine's total supply of grains on the domestic market, in all categories of agricultural enterprises for 2011-12 marketing year, made as of start of June totals 563.125 million tonnes, according to APK-Inform.
The balances were made by the interdepartmental working group of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In particular, it is noted that the total supply of wheat totals 25.9 million tonnes, corn - 24.3 million tonnes, barley - 9.9 million tonnes, rye - 0.768 million tonnes, buckwheat - 0.285 million tonnes.
The seeds consumption from the total supply of grains totals 3.09 million tonnes, including 1.6 million tonnes of wheat, 0.2 million tonnes of corn, one million tonnes of barley, 0.75 million tonnes of rye, 0.028 million tonnes of buckwheat.
As of June 1, 2012, the carry-over stocks of grains totalled 12.7 million tonnes, including 8.62 million tonnes of wheat, 1.93 million tonnes of corn, 1.7 million tonnes of barley, 0.13 million tonnes of rye, 0.025 million tonnes of buckwheat.
Besides, it is reported that in fact in July-May of 2011-12 marketing year, Ukraine exported 20.066 million tonnes of grains, including 5.09 million tonnes of wheat, 12.42 million tonnes of corn, 2.29 million tonnes of barley.
It is estimated that by the end of the current marketing year, Ukraine still has to export 2.254 million tonnes of grains, including 0.308 million tonnes of wheat, 1.59 million tonnes of corn, 0.293 million tonnes of barley.
