Vietnamese shrimp giant to list on Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange
Vietnam's biggest shrimp processor and exporter Minh Phu Seafood Company will move its listing to Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange in the fourth quarter this year, the company said.
Minh Phu, which is 10 percent owned by Singapore's Temasek Holdings, also announced that Aranda Investments Pte. Ltd., a subsidiary of Temasek, represented its parent firm to hold the stake in Minh Phu as of June 11, 2007.
Meanwhile, Vietnam's Deputy Minister of Fisheries Luong Le Phuong and Secretary General Juan Carlos Martin Fragueiro of Spain's Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at Ho Chi Minh City to increase cooperation in the fisheries industry.
By sharing related technologies and cooperating in surveillance activities, both countries will seek to promote sustainable development of their respective fisheries, aquaculture and seafood businesses.
To monitor execution of the MOU and increase cooperation, a joint committee for cooperation will be set up.
