China April '09 poultry exports down from year-ago level

China exported 560,000 heads of poultry valued at US$2.223 million in April 2009, a decrease from the year ago period.

Meanwhile, the export in January-April reached 2.05 million heads, valuing at US$7.505 million.

Also, China exported 900 million pieces of fresh eggs valued at US$6.124 million in April 2009, an increase from the year ago period.
