Russia limits meat supplies from Europe, South Korea
Russia momentarily limits meat supplies from Belgium, Denmark from the as well as fish products from Iceland and South Korea due to a recent 60-tonne shipment which was found to contain harmful substances from these countries.
In particular, the Russian Ministry of Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision has arrested 2 tonnes of Belgian pork by-products contaminated with salmonella, a tonne of French chicken meat with listeria monocytogenes , 21 tonnes of Danish pork fat containing various pathogens , 2.4 tonnes of Korean flying fish caviar with mercury and 32 tonnes of Icelandic capelin caviar also with listeria monocytogenes.
