Chinese methionine buyers limit buying; prices stay flat
Prices of methionine were flat during the week ending June 18.
Trade was light over the week as several buyers have stocked supplies before the Dragon Boat Festival holidays.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine stayed unchanged in the range of RMB26.80-27.50/kg.
Due to sharp falls in poultry inventories during May, methionine prices are expected to stay around current levels in the near term as feed millers limit purchases.
