Cite Marine invests US$12 million to expand plant
French seafood group Cite Marine, owned by Japanese sector company Nissui, will invest EUR10 million (US$12.38 million) to expand its plant in Kervignac, western France, which will lead to the creation of 70 jobs.
The extension of the plant, which mostly produces fried and ready battered/breaded seafood products (frozen and chilled foods) through six production lines, is scheduled to be completed by the summer of 2011. The main objective of the investment is to boost the company's production capacity.
Last year, Cite Marine recorded a turnover of EUR80 million (US$99.09 million). The group exports 6% of its production.
