Ukraine poultry population up 11 percent in May
In May 2008, Ukraine's poultry population rose 11 percent or 18.2 million heads from April 2008 to 184.1 million heads, according to the State Statistics Committee.
Private farms saw a population increase of 21.2 percent or 17.465 million heads while specialised farms population rose 0.9 percent or 768,000 heads.
Specialised farms population grew 13 percent or 9.7 million heads on-year while private farms population fell 3.6 percent or 3.7 million heads on-year.
