Novus unveils its Philippine branch
Global animal health company Novus International opened its Philippine headquarters on June 16 at the Richville Corporate Tower in Alabang, southern Manila.
The affair was graced by Novus executives John Harvey, Philippine office general manager, Cecilia Chan, director for finance and operations, Asia Pacific, Yannis Christodolou, regional sales director for APEC (Asia Pacific excluding China) and David Moreno, regional marketing manager APEC. Players from the livestock and veterinary sectors were also present.
Novus products have been sold in the Philippines for a decade but the opening of a local office signifies the firm's better outlook of the domestic livestock and animal health market. "For us to come here, that means we can do more in the Philippines. We have a theme called 'Expanding Asian Horizons' and the Philippine office is part of expanding that horizon," says Moreno. Moreno adds that the opening of the Philippine division is also a good opportunity since the local livestock and animal health industry face a lot of challenges where Novus can be of great service.
"We want to be more active in the Philippines and the idea is to be here for the long term. The Philippines is an interesting market, a lot of things we can do for the aquaculture, livestock, poultry and in the light of high feed costs, I think we can grab this opportunity to help in this area," he said.
