China raises 2011 livestock breeding subsidies
China plans to offer RMB1.19 billion (US$183 million) of subsidies to the livestock breeding sector this year, up RMB200 million (US$31 million) from last year, sources reported.
The government has increased its subsidies for the breeding of beef cattle, sheep and yaks in western provinces like Inner Mongolia, Sichuan, Tibet, Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia, and Xinjiang.
