Brazilian egg exports rise by 60%
 

 

According to the Brazilian Poultry Union, egg exports have brought in revenue of US$19.6 million in the first five months of 2012, a rise by about 60%, as compared with the same period of 2011.

 

According to Brazil-Arab News Agency, a total of 12,431 tonnes of raw eggs were shipped, up by 113% compared with the same period of 2011.

 

Processed egg exports reached 441 tonnes, down 60%, using the same basis of comparison.
