Ukraine's grain share in commodity exports show decrease

      
 

The share of grain products in the general volumes of Ukraine's commodity exports decreased from 9.5% to 6.1% compared to last year, according to the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine.

 

During January-April of 2010, commodity exports from Ukraine totalled US$14.56 billion with imports of US$16.4 billion, which formed the growth of export indices by 28.1%, and imports by 23% compared to the same period of 2009 respectively.

 

Ukraine provided foreign trading contracts with partners from 195 countries of the world. The highest volumes of export supplies were provided to the Russian Federation.

 

During the four months of 2010, exports of customer-supplied raw materials totalled US$16 million, up 30.6% compared to January-April 2009 volumes.
