China keeps '09 crops output forecast unchanged
The China National Grain and Oils Information Centre (CNGOIC) has kept its June forecast on 2009 output and planting area of major crops in China unchanged from May.
Meanwhile, the centre raised its estimates on 2008 corn and rapeseed output to 165.91 million tonnes and 12.1 million tonnes respectively but lowered its estimates on 2008 wheat output to 112.46 million tonnes.
It also kept its forecast on 2008 soy output and planting area unchanged.
The following table shows the June forecast of CNGOIC on 2009 output of corn, wheat, soy and rapeseed compared with their output from the previous year.
