South Korea's Nonghyup buys 57,000 tonnes of Chinese corn

South Korea's Nonghyup Feed Inc. has purchased 57,000 tonnes of corn from China through a local trading house, traders said on Thursday.

The grain house agreed to deliver the No. 2 grade corn at around US$224 per tonne, including cost and freight, by September 1, traders added.

The purchase was made late last Friday (June 8) during private negotiations, the traders added.
