US feed grain supplies expected to be down 4 percent from 2005/2006

Feed grain supplies are expected to be 345 million tonnes, down 4 percent from 2005/06 while feed grain production is expected at 283 million tonnes, according to an industry source.

Corn exports have increased by 50 million bushels, reflecting strong exports as Argentina and China lowered export volumes, thus reducing stocks by the same amount, according to Cattlenetwork.

Barley exports were lowered by 5 million bushels, but oats imports were raised 10 million bushels, resulting in a 5-million-bushel increase in feed and residual use.
