Lithuania's average milk purchase price decreases in May

Lithuania's average milk purchase price declined 4.2% in May in contrast to April and it also increased 24% on year.

The total volume of natural milk purchased from farmers last month increased to 110,800 tonnes, up 1.3% from 109,400 tonnes a year ago.

The average natural milk purchase price in Lithuania fell by 4.2% in May compared with April to LTL1,006.4/tonne (US$420), the Agriculture Ministry said on Monday (Jun 13).
