Japan to test Vietnamese farmed eels for chemical contamination
Japan is testing farmed eels, rice and rice products from Vietnam after chemical contamination cases were discovered, the Vietnamese embassy in Japan said.
The Japanese government had decided to check all Vietnamese consignments of these foods after
chemical residues were found to be 5 times more than acceptable levels.
The Ba Ria - Vung Tau Seafood Import- Export Company, Dai Thuan Unit, Hung Loi Company Ltd, Huong Thanh Company Ltd, Vinh Loc Trading and Seafood Processing Company are the five main exporters of these products to Japan.
