South Korea's agricultural and aquatic exports to China hike by 21 percent

The agricultural and aquatic product exports of South Korea to China in the first quarter of 2008 hiked by 21.1 percent in value to US$967 million against last year.

The Korea International Trade Association data indicates that the value and volume of exports from the country to China surged by 36.3 percent and 40.4 percent on-year respectively to US$121 million and 86,400 tonnes.

South Korea's animal and agricultural product export value rose by 8.8 percent on-year to US$76.6 million, while the aquatic product export value soared by 141 percent to US$44.4 million.
