Brazil's 2006/07 soy crop put at 58.5 million tonnes

 

 

Brazil should harvest 58.5 million tonnes of soybeans in the 2006/07 crop, the Census Bureau, IBGE, said Tuesday (Jun 12).

 

The figure is up from the 57.2 million tonnes in IBGE's April estimate. Brazil finished soy harvesting in May.

 

Brazil is the no. 2 soy producer behind the US.
