Methionine prices flat on light demand in China
Prices of methionine were stable to lower during the week ending June 4.
Methionine market was quiet as buyers withheld purchases after securing supplies. Even several smaller feed millers continued to make purchases, the transaction volumes were too low to perk up prices.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine were soft in the range of RMB26.80-27.50/kg.
Methionine prices are less likely to rise prominently in the near term.
