Neogen appoints new president and chief operating officer

 

 

 

Neogen Corporation, a developer of food safety test kits, has appointed Stephen Snyder as president and chief operating officer of the company.

 

Snyder will replace Lon Bohannon, who has announced his intent to retire on August 31, 2013. The latter has been employed by Neogen for 27 years and served as the company's COO since 2000.

 

With a career rooted in financial and marketing activities of food related businesses, Snyder brings with him 26 years of experiences, having served in leadership roles with Monsanto and Cargill. He was previously the vice president of marketing for Cargill's Industrial Oils and Lubricants business. He was also vice president and global business director for the company's Health and Nutrition entity, where he was involved in launching the stevia-based natural sweetener business.

 

Snyder possesses a degree in chemistry from Philips University in Oklahoma, US, and a Masters of Business Administration, General Management, Marketing and Finance from Harvard Business School.
