Commercial poultry farm owners must take precautionary measures in their farms to protect poultry from possible losses caused by rain, states the Pakistan Poultry Development.
In a statement here Wednesday (June 9), the District Officer Dr Abdul Aziz Khan called for implementing precautionary steps and bio-security measures and protecting their farms from rain water.
He further advised to fill the soil in the surrounding of their farms and also arrange plastic sheeting. He also called for making arrangement of generator or light during load shedding and for protecting poultry feed from rain and moisturisation.
He said that poultry farm owners should provide vaccine to the birds on schedule and sell their flaks after their preparation without delay.
