Ukraine's grain exports show decrease
Ukraine's grain exports fell to 63,900 tonnes in the first seven days in June from 71,800 in the same period in May, according to analyst UkrAgroConsult.
It said the volume had included 11,500 tonnes of corn and 2,400 tonnes of wheat. UkrAgroConsult gave no reason for the decrease.
"The volume is too small as Ukraine has almost exhausted its export capacity," the head of Ukrainain Agrarian Confederation Serhiy Stoyanov said.
Ukraine reduced grain exports to 923,908 tonnes in May from 1.2 million in April and 1.6 million in March. Analysts have said sales could total 21 million tonnes in the 2009/10 season, which runs from July to June.
