Ukraine exports 23.3 million tonnes grains on current MY
Ukraine exported 23.3 million tonnes of grain between July 1, 2008, the beginning of the current marketing year, and June 5, 2009, the Agriculture Ministry said Wednesday (June 10).
The exported grain included 12.1 million tonnes of wheat, 6.1 million tonnes of barley and 5 million tonnes of corn.
The Agriculture Ministry expects total grain exports in the current marketing year (July 2008-June 2009) to reach 25 million-26 million tonnes.
