Rosderra launches investment programme in pig plant
Rosderra Irish Meats Group will rebuild a pork processing plant in Edenderry with an investment programme.
A portion of the processing plant was destroyed by fire in August 2007 and Rosderra seeks to rebuild that section, which would include processing, packing and dispatch operations.
The new sections are scheduled to complete by November 2008.
In its first year of operations, Rosderra said it would slaughter 1.3 million pigs and forecast a turnover in excess of US$309.5 million.
Rosderra Irish Meats Group a leading Irish food company and is Ireland's largest pork producer, accounting for about 50 percent of the Irish pork industry.
