Chinese buyers limit buying amid soaring lysine prices

Lysine prices increased significantly during the week ending June 10.

Demand waned considerably as buyers held back procurements with lysine prices higher by almost 30% compared with April.

Price quotes of 65-percent lysine and 70-percent lysine were mainly at RMB5/kg and RMB6-6.20/kg respectively.

Demand for lysine is poised to soften in the coming week as soymeal prices have fallen over the past two weeks.
