Yemen to establish US$16-million aquaculture project
The Yemen government is prepared to establish fish and shrimp aquaculture project worth US$16 million, according to the Ministry of Fisheries Wealth and Khalij al-Phil Company on Saturday (June 6).
According to local news, Khalij al-Fil will also set up a centre for preparing fishery exports and setting up a market to sell fish.
The agreement signed by Fisheries Wealth minister Mohammed Shamlan and chairman of company's board Mohammed al-Shayef, stipulated that the ministry will prepare the economic, technical and environmental feasibility studies for the projects and its achievement stages according to the investment law.
