Russia's spring grain accelerate by 97 percent
Russia's spring grain crops were sown at 30 million hectares, soaring by 97 percent from last year, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia said.
In total, Russian corn for grain was sown at 1.8 million hectares, surging by 94 percent from the plan.
Soy was sown at the area nearly 619,000 hectares or 70 percent from the estimated areas.
Spring barley was sown at 474,000 hectares or 97.5 percent from forecast.
Furthermore, a number of regions have increased sowing areas under spring rapeseeds against earlier estimates.
