Russia seen to produce up to 94 million tonnes of grains

 

 

The average grain crop in the Russian Federation for the new agricultural year (July 1, 2012 - June 30, 2013) is seen at the level of 92-94 million tonnes of grains, according to the Ministry of Economic Development's estimates.

 

Meanwhile, the exports may total at least 22-23 million tonnes, said Ludmila Tyazhelnikova, Director of the department of development of the economy sectors of the Ministry, on June 7.

 

According to the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat), in the current season the general grain harvest totalled 94.2 million tonnes. The export volumes of grains may reach the level of 26.5-27 million tonnes, added the Ministry of Agriculture.
