JBT Corporation signs contract with global poultry processing company

Contracts totalling in excess of US$4 million with a global poultry processing company to supply portioning and freezing solutions have been signed by JBT Corporation's JBT FoodTech business, the company announced Thursday (June 7).

JBT FoodTech will supply and integrate multiple DSI portioning systems and GYRoCOMPACT(R) M10 freezers. The added portioning and freezing capacity will improve operating efficiencies and further automate the customer's processing capabilities for various poultry products.

"We are very pleased with the confidence these orders express in JBT's leading protein processing and freezing technologies," said Torbjorn Arvidsson, Vice President and Division Manager for JBT FoodTech's Food Solutions and Services Division. "This is another excellent example of how JBT FoodTech partners with our customers to provide integrated systems for the delivery of a full range of poultry products."

The projects are scheduled to be fully operational in the fourth quarter of 2012.
