Kemira names new sales and marketing manager
 
 
 
On May 1st, water chemistry company Kemira ChemSolutions appointed Henry Wong as its Asia Pacific sales amd marketing manager for the food & feed customer segment.
 
Henry will be based in Kemira's Singapore office and replaces Han van der Broek, who has recently relocated to the Netherlands, where he is taking on a new role as global business development manager for the food & feed customer segment.
 
With 15 years of industry experience with various Cargill operations and in roles encompassing, sales, business development and manufacturing plant management, Henry brings a wealth of experience to the Asia Pacific team. He holds a bachelor's of science degree in fishery and aquaculture, along with an MBA from Australia's Southern Cross University.
 

 
DSM announces management changes

 
Global life sciences and materials sciences company Royal DSM has made key management changes in its corporate accounting, control, treasury and investor relations divisions. 
 
Jos Op Heij, currently vice-president of corporate treasury, will take on the role of senior vice-president of corporate control and accounting effective August 1, 2012. Heji joined DSM in 1985 and held positions in ICT, project management, demand chain management, finance and control, before taking on the responsibility for worldwide treasury operations in 2005.
 
Hans Vossen, vice-president of investor relations will succeed Heji as vice-president of corporate treasury effective August 1st. Vossen started his career in EDP auditing at KPMG and joined DSM in 1991 as controller. After holding several positions in finance control and strategy, he joined DSM's investor relations division in 2008.

Dave Huizing will succeed Vossen as vice-president of investor relations effective July 1st. Huizing joined DSM in 1985 as an in-house lawyer. He thereafter held positions in marketing & sales and key account management for DSM materials businesses. Huizing subsequently moved into general management, and most recently was posted within the company's value assurance review team.
 

 
Cobb appoints Dr Kate Barger as global animal welfare director
 
 
Dr Kate Barger has been appointed as global animal welfare director of broiler breeding company Cobb.
 
As Cobb's new global director for world animal welfare, Dr Kate Barger will ensure that Cobb's farm and hatchery operations comply with corporate policies and national legislative requirements for animal welfare.
 
Her new role includes working with external researchers and allied industries to better understand the combined effect of genetics, environment and farm management on poultry's well being. She will also support customer needs and industry stakeholders to develop animal welfare guidelines and resource materials.
 
Dr Barger began her career with Cobb as export manager in 2003 and became manager of sales and technical service for the Mexico, Central America and Caribbean region two years later. In 2009, she moved to the UK to support Cobb Europe as its company veterinarian and quality assurance manager, responsible for managing programs involving biosecurity, animal welfare and avian health.
