With five decades in the business, Sanovo Technology A/S has been focused on creating turnkey installations and individual egg processing equipment for egg processors worldwide, aiming to always improve the quality of eggs and egg products for the consumers.

Founded by Lactosan and the Danish Toeraeg Factory, Sanovo Technology was established in 1961 in Denmark. It grew out of one of the leading egg processors in Europe that time – Lactosan A/S. Lactosan was formed in 1942 to manufacture egg and cheese powders and has been at the forefront of innovation for egg products.

Currently, Sanovo's division that handles egg products is part of the Lactosan Sanovo Ingredients Group, which boasts of processing plants in several countries.

Christoffer Ernst, Sanovo's Chief Representative in Asia, underscores that the company "introduced pasteurisation of liquid eggs as early as 1951 and was in fact one of the first companies to do so. This development allowed for an unprecedented enhancement of quality and food safety assurance in the country back then." Egg pasteurisation became law in many European countries several years later. In the US, pasteurisation became mandatory in 1970.
