SCHAUMANN introduces CERAVITAL livestock dietary product

SCHAUMANN Research, a division of livestock nutritional supplements firm, SCHAUMANN, has developed CERAVITAL, a product which helps to reduce anti-nutritive effects and increase the digestibility of nutrients and non starch polysaccharide enzymes (NSP).

Created through solid-state fermentation, CERAVITAL produces a stabilisation effect within the gastrointestinal system, an action based on increased availability of valuable nutrients and ingredients, such as protein, starch and fat.

Simultaneously, CERAVITAL acts as an readily available nutrient solution for intestinal bacteria. Its prebiotic qualities help to promote the development of gastric and intestinal flora, hence boosting intestinal health. With harmful bacteria suppressed, the digestibility of the feed and NSP fractions is improved, along with dung consistency.

Furthermore, NSP fractions are broken down into short-chain fatty acids, producing an additional source of energy.

According to SCHAUMANN, CERAVITAL is successfully employed in the company's mineral feeds for sows, piglets and fattening pigs. Field trials and laboratory tests, conducted by SCHAUMANN's research institute, revealed that the product improves weight gain, feed conversion and vitality in broiler and turkey fattening.
