Indian May soymeal shipments surge

India's soymeal exports in May nearly increased by threefold from 60,288 tonnes last year to 176,816 tonnes this year, according to the Soybean Processors Association of India on Monday (Jun 6).

Exports during the first eight months of the marketing year that started October 1 jumped to 3.48 million tonnes from 1.62 million tonnes a year earlier, the trade body said.

India exports soymeal mainly to Japan, China, Vietnam and Indonesia.
