Ukraine exports 11.4 million tonnes of grain in 2006/2007
Ukraine has already exported 11.4 million tonnes as of June 4 for marketing year 2006/2007 (July 2006-June 2007), Vice-Premier Viktor Slauta said at a briefing in Kyiv on Monday.
He said that exports' share of the gross grain production in 2006 was 33.2 percent.
Slauta said that over the 2005-2006 marketing year, Ukraine exported 12.5 million tonnes of grain, which is 32.9 percent of the total grain harvest.
He said hat the introduction of export grain quotas in the fall 2006 did not impact the Ukrainian export potential.
