Ukrainian agrarians started preparing for the harvesting campaign and plan to hold the harvesting works throughout the areas of 12 million hectares, up 1.5 million hectares compared with the last year index.

This is according to Nikolai Prysyazhnyuk, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, on June 5.

N.Prysyazhnyuk also noted that the expected general grain harvest will exceed the last year index, but did not specify how much, due to the significant influence of climatic conditions on the condition of agricultural crops areas.
