FrieslandCampina to produce infant and toddler nutrition products in the Netherlands

Royal FrieslandCampina is investing more than €100 million (US$131 million) to install a new evaporator at FrieslandCampina Domo milk processing facility in Bedum, Netherlands, which will equip the facility ready to produce infant and toddler nutrition products.
FrieslandCampina Domo, an operating company of FrieslandCampina, develops, produces, and markets ingredients, base powders and semi-finished products based on whey, milk, other dairy components and total infant nutrition to producers of infant and toddler nutrition.
The evaporator of 3.5 metres wide and 24 metres long is designed to evaporate water from milk to form powder. The project is a part of the cooperative's substantial capacity growth strategy at FrieslandCampina Domo. The strategy seeks to process the anticipated increase in the quantity of milk from 2015.
