Kazakhstan's Aktau port ships 68,000 tonnes of wheat
The Republican State Enterprise "Aktau international sea trading port" of Kazakhstan reached 68,000 tonnes of wheat shipment volumes last month.
The wheat volumes were exported to Iran, as before, declared Erken Delmanov, Vice-Chairman of the Board of JSC "Ak Bidai Terminal".
According to him, in June the port plans to tranship 50,000 tonnes of grains.
As a reminder, due to the record harvest in 2011 - 29.7 million tonnes of grains in bunker weight (an increase of 2.2 times compared to 2010), the export potential of grains from Kazakhstan increased to the level of 15 million tonnes.
The port Aktau is located on the eastern coast of the Caspian Sea, and is the only seaport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, designed for international transportation of various dry cargoes, crude oil and petroleum products.
