Poultry prices in Singapore may go up
Poultry prices in Singapore are expected to rise due to higher transportation costs, according to importers.
Transportation costs have increased as a result of Malaysia raising its petrol and diesel prices by about 40 percent.
Importers are expecting that duck prices will go up by SGD0.05 per kilogramme. Chicken prices are also expected to rise.
Owners of duck farms in Malaysia said costs per lorry might go up by about MYR400 from the current MYR1,650 to MYR2,050.
