Russia and Egypt to form long-term grain delivery contracts

Russia and Egypt have signed a trade protocol, of which the exports of Russian grains to the Egyptian market is one of the target directions.

The forming of long-term contracts for grain delivery has been agreed, and Russia would be allowed to take decisions concerning logistic investments in Egyptian infrastructure and Russian transport port capacities, according to Russia's Minister of Industry and Trading, Viktor Khristenko.

The long-term contracts allow solving grain quality problems, and the state grain company of Russia will support fulfilling the contracts, Khristenko said.

Egyptian Trade Minister Rashid M. Rashid, said Egypt gives credence to Russian organisations controlling grain quality, and that the country will continue importing grain from Russia.
