Grain futures rise on the CBOT
Grain futures climbed Thursday (June 3) on the Chicago Board of Trade as wheat for July delivery rose 0.75 cents to US$4.4175 a bushel, while July corn rose one cent to US$3.495 a bushel and soy for July delivery jumped 22.5 cents to US$9.55 a bushel.
Meanwhile, beef futures traded higher and pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
June live cattle edged up 0.05 cent to 92.10 cents a pound; August feeder cattle added 0.02 cent to US$1.0967 a pound; June lean hogs shed 0.87 cent to 80.45 cents a pound; and July pork bellies lost 2.50 cents to US$1.00 a pound.
