Philippines imposes temporary ban on poultry from Denmark
The Philippines' Department of Agriculture (DA) imposed a temporary ban on all poultry and poultry products from Denmark following bird flu findings.
The DA issued the ban after the Office International des Epizooties (OIE) or the Animal Health Organization confirmed bird flu reports in a poultry farm in Stenstrup, Svendborg Kommune, south of Denmark.
The DA has also suspended the issuance of veterinary quarantine clearances (VQCs) to all imports covering bird and poultry products from Denmark.
Currently, the Philippines is also banning poultry imports from Korea, Saudi Arabia, and Poland.
