China methionine price surges 47% in two months
Prices of methionine increased further during the week ending June 2.
The persisting supply crunch of methionine in China continued to push up prices over the week. Over the past two months, methionine prices have surged by 47%.
Liquid methionine quotes in the general market were higher in the range of RMB22-24.50/kg.
Prices are expected to rise significantly as poultry population expands more rapidly.
