China fishmeal imports down 10.1 percent in April

According to the General Administration of Customs, China imported 117,542 tonnes of fishmeal in April 2005, down 10.1 percent from the previous month.

The April imports came mostly from:

Peru:          75,394 tonnes;

Chile:         15,029 tonnes;

USA:          10,799 tonnes.

From January to April 2005, China's fishmeal imports totalled 386,891 tonnes.
