Chicken Prices in China Generally Higher in End May

Of late, chicken prices in China have risen generally, with the poultry industry showing signs of a strong recovery.

 

From May 28 to 31, prices of slaughtered chicken registered an average rise of RMB0.1/kg. Prices of live chicken in different regions of China have increased by different margins:

    • In Jiujiang area of Jiangxi province, prices rose by RMB0.2/kg;

    • In Inner Mongolia, prices rose by RMB0.8/kg;

    • In Hebei, prices rose by RMB0.1/kg;

    • In Jiangsu, prices rose by RMB0.2/kg;

    • In Shanxi, prices rose by RMB0.1/kg.
