Aova Technologies Inc. has partnered with Europharma, a Norwegian subsidiary of Nordly Holdings, to distribute the Big Fish branded additive to aquaculture markets in North America.

Under the agreement, Aova and Europharma will provide expanding US aquaculture producers with the feed additive. With a focus on generating salmonoid performance data, the firms are set to penetrate the worldwide salmon markets, which account for approximately two million tonnes of fish feed annually.

Big Fish, as well as Aova's other product lines designed as feed additives for poultry, calves and swine, is a host targeted specialised immunoglobulin. When added to livestock and aquaculture feed, the supplement improves the intestinal health of animals raised in controlled environments by reducing the inflammatory response.

Both firms look forward to demonstrating the health benefits gained through the Big Fish Product not only in salmonid production but also in new aquaculture sectors such as catfish and tilapia.
