Ukraine's grain exports plummet by 69 percent in April

The total grain exports of Ukraine in April plunged by 69.4 percent or 695,400 tonnes on-year, valued at US$93.86 million, the State Statistics Committee said.

In January-April 2008, Ukraine's grain exports fell by 44.9 percent or 1 million tonnes, compared to January-April 2007.

In 2007, total grain exports dropped by 61.8 percent or 6.8 million tonnes compared to 2006, the Ukrainian News said.
