Brazil's Feb-Apr soy registrations reach 61 percent at 16.2 million tonnes
Brazil's February-April soybean export registrations has totalled 16.2 million metric tonnes or 61 percent of the 26.6 million tonnes seen to be exported over the February 2007-January 2008 marketing year, figures from the Brazilian Oilseeds Association (Abiove) shown on Wednesday (May 30).
Around 15.153 million tonnes had been exported at the same time last year, also 61 percent of the forecast total for that year.
Soy meal export registrations totalled 6.25 million tonnes, 49 percent of the forecast 12.7 million tonnes total.
For soy oil, registrations were for 1.03 million tonnes, accounting 49 percent of the 2.1 million tonnes predicted total.
Abiove forecasts the 2006/07 crop at 58.9 million tonnes.
