Nestlé invests US$7.5 million in Spain's condensed milk products factory
An investment of EUR6 million (US$7.5 million) has been completed by Nestle in additional manufacturing lines at a condensed milk products factory in Spain.
The additional lines will increase production at the Pontecesures facility by 50%, Nestle said Tuesday (May 29).
Around half of the factory's production is exported to countries in Europe, Asia and Africa. The investment, which allows it to now manufacture condensed milk products in a number of formats, has boosted exports by 12%, Nestle said.
In November, Nestle invested EUR10 million (US$12.4 million) in its chocolate facility in La Penilla de Cayón, which followed a CHF64 million (US$66.1 million) investment to boost production at its Nescafé Dolce Gusto factory in Girona in March last year.
