French poultry company LDC net profit shows increase
French poultry products maker Lambert-Dodart-Chancereul (LDC) saw its net attributable profit jump 48% on-year to EUR63 million (US$78 million) in fiscal year 2009/10, ended February 2010.
Sales went up 6% to EUR2.06 billion (US$2.54 billion). Operating profit moved up to EUR94.1 million (US$116 million) from a year-earlier EUR65.7 million (US$81 million). The operating margin also increased to 4.5% from 3.2%.
Despite its good performance, LDC remains cautious about its results in the current year. It targets an operating profit of EUR86 million, under the pressure of rising raw material costs.
