Fishmeal imports in China up in April
China imported 103,187 tonnes of fishmeal in April, up 33.8 percent from March, and a 12 percent fall from the same period last year.
Imports in April came mostly from:
Peru: 65,516 tonnes;
Chile: 11,010 tonnes;
US: 9,146 tonnes.
For the period from January to April 2006, China's fishmeal imports totalled 322,977 tonnes.
